Snooze

Its 5.30am...the alarm in my phone have started ringing, have set 'El Mariachi' as the alarm song. Why did they had to put a snooze option in an alarm?, It seems to be a conspiracy to make people lazy. Who would want to get out of their bed so soon if they have the option to snooze????? Trying to go for a jog regularly, have to lose some tummy.

So after 'snoozing' the alarm countless times and after almost getting up when mom called at 6.30am, its 7.10am. Missed my morning jog, hardly have time to get ready for office. Then the usual guilt feeling of not going for a jog and then mom's lecture of how lazy I've become. Everything have to be timed now...5 min - toilet, 5 min - quick shower, 2 min -brushing teeth, 2 min - get dressed. Its already 7.30, and as expected my friend called, he is waiting near our building gate...i still haven't had breakfast, can't skip it either since mom would flare up. Have to think of an excuse to tell him, always do!!!... "Arre, 5 min de, door lock ho gaya hai" that 5 min sometimes turn into 15 mins.

Missed regular train, missed company bus from vasai stn...took an auto...reached 30 mins late. It a routine now. Thank god for our company's flexi-time policy (which I hardly follow). Then the normal office work starts : coffee...work...go to the factory floor...meetings...have lunch...go for a walk with office buddies...work...coffee again...meetings...packup and leave at 6.

So much trouble just because of that damned snooze option..................

The mongoose...

I always loved 2 wheeler, right from my childhood, maybe because of the thrill that you get riding on 2 unbalanced wheels...or maybe because 2 wheeler's are easier to disassemble and tinker with....or simply because 4 wheeler is out of my budget.!!.

My first bicycle was a BSA mongoose that my mom had bought for me, a very revered bike at that time. After a couple of accidents I finally mastered the art of balancing myself on 2 wheels. After some more accidents I mastered the art of doing a 'wheelie'.......well not really, just tried once and almost fractured my spine. Anyways, the point is that I was fascinated by 2 wheeler's. I used to disassemble my bicycle almost every week with my best buddy(Justin...or James as we call him). That habit still persist, almost every week we have to disassemble my Royal Enfield(Suzzane, that what I've named her), some unforeseen problem crops up and we get a chance to open her up. Sometimes she just refuses to start, its like Suzzane has a  mind of her own, starting only when she wants to. Once a girl from our building clicked a pic of me and my friend trying to start Suzzane and posted it on fb with a caption saying 'Suzzane phus ho gayi'. One of my friend (Wilson...he still cant ride a bike :P) is damn scared of Suzzane, bcoz everytime he sits on it, she stalls on the road and I make him push the bike.

Lately, I have been making my younger brother(Ritesh) do all the hard work of opening up jammed parts, or calling him to push the bike when it stops anywhere in our area. That reminds me, I still don't have a driving license. Had a learner's once, but never got the time to go and get a permanent one. I have also noticed that traffic police never stops a person on a Royal Enfield, so I don't really need a license!!! :)..

A new hobby.....

Inspired by someone I have decided to start blogging. Hope this fad doesn't die out like all other hobbies I tried. I remember I had started writing a diary when I was in the 9th standard, but I don't remember the number of days I wrote in that diary...2 week maybe. More interesting ones like drawing, origami, body building, star gazing didn't even last for a week! Laziness, some people might call it; I call it 'Progression'....
